This is the first time I’ve posted in months…OK, it’s really been over a year. Yikes.
I’m becoming more active in my card making, and plan to be posting more regularly. I hope I remember how to do this!
For my husband’s Valentine’s Day card this year, I was inspired by MFT Color Challenge #39:
I wanted something more masculine (for obvious reasons), and was trying to avoid using too much pink. In using Distress Inks, I achieved a really lovely watercolor effect, and was able to soften the reds, blues and greys. I also got *just* a hint of pink flush in my little ewe’s cheeks!
Here’s a closeup:
Products used include:
- Avery Elle Clear Stamps: Hogs and Kisses
- Tsukineko Memento Dye Ink: Tuxedo Black
- Tim Holtz Distress Inks: Stormy Sky, Candied Apple, and Tattered Rose

I hope all of you out there enjoy your own celebrations of the heart, whether on February 14 or any other day of the year!
